Northwestern Polytechnical University (referred to as Northwestern Polytechnical University or simply Northwestern Polytechnical University) is located in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province. It is a national "Double First-Class" university with a focus on the cultivation of talents and scientific research in the fields of aviation, aerospace, and navigation, and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The school has three strong roots and integrates them (National Northwest Institute of Technology, East China Institute of Aeronautics, and the Department of Air Force Engineering of Harbin Institute of Military Engineering). In 1960, it was designated as a key national university by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" and "Eighth Five-Year Plan" periods, it was listed as one of the key national construction universities by The State Council. In 1995, it was among the first batch of universities to enter the "211 Project". In 2001, it was included in the "Project 985", and in 2017, it was listed among the "First-Class University" construction universities (Class A). It is a member university of the "Alliance of Outstanding Universities" and an initiating university of the "Belt and Road" Aerospace Innovation Alliance.
