Sgs-cstc Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. was jointly established by SGS Group and China Standard Technology Group, which is affiliated with the State Administration for Market Regulation, in 1991. The name is derived from the first characters of "General Inspection Company" and "Bureau of Standards and Metrology". It has now built over 100 branches and more than 200 laboratories across the country. It has over 16,000 well-trained professionals. SGS is the first third-party joint venture inspection organization in China to be accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and ISO 17020.
