China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute (referred to as Nuclear Power Institute) is affiliated to China National Nuclear Corporation. It is a large-scale comprehensive scientific research base in China that integrates the entire cycle of nuclear power technology research, design, testing, operation, decommissioning and small-scale production. It is a national strategic high-tech research and design institute. Since its establishment in 1965, the institute has developed a complete scientific research and production system, which includes nuclear power technology research and design, nuclear fuel and material research, reactor operation and application research, nuclear power equipment integration, nuclear technology application research and isotope production.
