Zhejiang University

Zhejiang University is a key university sponsored by the state, supervised by the education administrative department of The State Council, and jointly built by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is also one of the earliest new-style higher education institutions founded by the Chinese people and a university included in the "Double First-Class" initiative. Zhejiang University is one of the first key universities to be included in the national "Project 211" and "Project 985" initiatives. It has been selected for the Pearl Peak Program, the Talent Program, the 101 Program, the Strong Foundation Program, the 2011 Program, the Program for the Education and Training of Outstanding Engineers, the Program for the Education and Training of Outstanding Doctors, the Program for the Education and Training of Outstanding Legal Talents, the Program for the Education and Training of Outstanding Agricultural and Forestry Talents, and is among the first batch of national demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. It is a member of the C9 League, the China University Presidents' Association, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, the Global University Presidents' Forum, the International Alliance for Engineering Education along the Belt and Road, the China University Planetary Science Alliance, and the Medical "Double First-Class" Construction Alliance.
