Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., LTD. (referred to as "Taigang Stainless") is a leading enterprise in the global stainless steel industry. In October 1997, Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., LTD. (TISCO) Stainless Steel was established through a public offering initiated solely by TISCO Group. In June 1998, it was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code: 000825). In June 2006, the acquisition of the steel main business assets of Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group was completed, and it now possesses a complete steel production process and related supporting facilities. In December 2020, Shanxi Guoyun Company, which holds 100% of the equity of Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, transferred 51% of its equity to China Baowu free of charge. As a result, China Baowu became the indirect controlling shareholder of Taiyuan Iron & Steel Stainless through Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, and the actual controller was changed from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanxi Province to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
