On December 26, 2025, the signing ceremony of the donation agreement between Wance Company and the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of South China University of Technology, as well as the unveiling ceremony of the student science and technology innovation base, was successfully held in Room 514A of the Transportation Building of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of South China University of Technology. Zhang Weijie, the Party Secretary of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, Wang Lei, the Deputy Party Secretary, Professor Zhang Longhui, the Director of the Mechanics Experiment Center, Peng Junlin, the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and other school leaders, as well as Huang Xing, the Chairman of Wanye Company, Chen Jun, the Sales Director, and Zhao Hushan, the person in charge of universities in South China, attended the meeting. This marks a solid step forward for both sides in the direction of in-depth cooperation in "industry-university-research-application".

As a key university directly under the Ministry of Education and included in the "Double First-Class", "Project 985" and "Project 211" initiatives, South China University of Technology, with its profound academic heritage, rigorous academic spirit and outstanding research achievements, has cultivated generation after generation of pillars of society for our country. As the "engineering pioneer" of the university, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation has always been at the forefront of the industry and is hailed as the "cradle of entrepreneurs and engineers". It has cultivated a large number of professional technical and management talents for China's civil engineering and architecture, transportation, aerospace, shipbuilding and ocean, water conservancy and hydropower and other industries and departments.

At the donation ceremony, Zhang Weijie, the Party Secretary of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of South China University of Technology, and Huang Xing, the Chairman of Wance Company, delivered speeches successively. Secretary Zhang Weijie stated that the country is currently at a crucial period of accelerating the building of an education power, a science and technology power, and a talent power, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has also ushered in unprecedented development opportunities. Both the school and the enterprise are located in the Bay Area and have maintained a good cooperative relationship. This generous donation will provide assistance for the development of the school and lay a solid foundation for the deepening of cooperation between the two sides. Huang Xing stated that the development of enterprises cannot do without the support of the scientific research strength of universities, and the talent cultivation and technological innovation of universities also require the practical platforms and industrial resources of enterprises. Subsequently, Zhang Weijie, the Party Secretary of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of South China University of Technology, and Huang Xing, the Chairman of Wance Company, signed the "Donation Agreement for the Science and Technology Innovation Activity Fund of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation" on behalf of the university and the enterprise, and unveiled the plaque for the "Student Science and Technology Innovation Base". After the ceremony, Professor Zhang Longhui, the director of the Mechanics Experiment Center of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, led the leaders of Wance Company to visit the Mechanics Experiment Center.
