On July 8, amid the sweltering summer heat of Wuhan, Wance's Hubei R&D and Manufacturing Base hosted over 275 students and faculty from HUST's programs in Measurement and Control, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Innovation, Robotics, and Intelligent Manufacturing for a deep-dive site visit. Aimed at strengthening university-industry collaboration and fostering innovative talent, the event took students beyond the classroom and into the industrial front lines, giving them a firsthand look at Wance's corporate culture and an immersive experience of the technological power behind materials mechanics testing.

As a national key university included in the 'Double First-Class' initiative, the '985 Project,' and the '211 Project,' Huazhong University of Science and Technology possesses profound strengths in mechanical manufacturing, measurement and control technology, and intelligent equipment, serving as a vital base for the cultivation of high-end engineering talent and cutting-edge technology research and development.

As a leading domestic enterprise in the testing machine industry, Wance has been deeply engaged in the field of materials mechanical performance testing for over a decade, establishing a full-chain solution covering R&D, manufacturing, sales, and services. Its products are widely used in nationally strategic industries such as aerospace, national defense and military industry, new energy, and rail transit.

At the event, the faculty members and students first entered the corporate exhibition hall, where, guided by the docent's introduction, they gained a systematic understanding of Wance's development history, strategic layout, corporate culture, and industry positioning, forming a clear picture of the evolution of domestically produced testing equipment. Subsequently, the group was divided into smaller teams and visited the customer experience center and the production workshops, where they observed live demonstrations of various mechanical testing equipment under the guidance of technical staff and gained in-depth insights into the production processes and quality control systems. The students asked enthusiastic questions on topics such as testing accuracy, equipment adaptability, and industry application prospects, creating a lively atmosphere of exchange. Many students remarked that this visit had broken down the barrier between textbook knowledge and industrial application, giving them a tangible sense of how materials testing technology underpins advanced manufacturing—and that they had gained a great deal from the experience.
