The 2015 Annual Conference of the General Methods and Products Branch of the National Technical Committee for Plastics Standardization was successfully held in Dali, Yunnan Province on May 10, 2016.

The conference was presided over by Chen Minjian, the secretary-general of the National Technical Committee for Plastics Standardization. More than 70 units, including China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Shenzhen Wance Testing Equipment Co., LTD., and Beijing Resin Research Institute, attended the meeting.

The conference summarized and reported on the work situation of the National Plastic Standardization Committee and its branches in 2015 as well as the main work plans for 2016. Under the leadership of the secretary-general, Chief Engineer Mu Lufu, on behalf of Wance Group, actively discussed, reviewed and approved with the attending committee members and representatives:

1. "Determination of impact Properties of Simply Supported Beams of Plastics - Part 2: Instrumental impact Tests"

2. Plastics - Determination of melt mass flow Rate (MFR) and Melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastics - Part 1: Standard Method

3. Plastics - Determination of melt mass flow rate (MFR) and Melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastics - Part 2: Test methods for materials sensitive to time-temperature history and/or humidity.

The conference solicited opinions on the following standards:

"Determination of Plasticizer Content in Rubber Materials - Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Method"

2. "Thermomechanical Analysis Method for Plastics (TMA) - Part 1: General Principles"

3. "Thermomechanical analysis of Plastics (TMA) - Part 2: Determination of Linear expansion coefficient and glass transition Temperature"

4. Determination of Tensile Properties of Plastics at High Strain Rates

The three standards on plastic testing methods reviewed and approved by the conference have made certain modifications and improvements to the main testing indicators compared with the original standards.

At the meeting, Mu Lufu, the chief engineer of Wance, also reported to the representatives on the research achievements of Wance in recent years in the instrumentalization of plastic pendulums and fully automatic plastic tensile testing machines. He highly praised Wance's research technology in the field of plastic mechanical property testing and looked forward to the company making further progress.

With the implementation of the new standards, China's level in the field of plastic material testing will surely be further enhanced, and at the same time, it will also promote the research and development and manufacturing technology of plastic material testing equipment in China to catch up with the international level.
